Lucy has developed a unique style, ranging from folk to pop; her songs accompanied by a profound appreciation for lyricism, often alluding to the wonder of the natural world as a metaphor for human emotion. Lucy’s style has been influenced by artists such as Lucy Rose, Frank Turner, Will Varley and Julien Baker. Lucy has supported artists such as Xtra Mile Beans on Toast and Sean McGowan and other bands such as Black Water County and The Little Unsaid.  Lucy has exciting plans to release a new single, hopefully towards the beginning of 2020.

Urgob in Oxford

May 09, 2020

Come to see a powerful klezmer spectacle of this Czech acoustic trio. Hundred years old eastern European tunes will make your sunday evening better!
Urgob is an original composition of the band Der Šenster Gob from Prague. It was founded in 2010, quit in 2012 and was reestablished in 2017, from when it exists parallelly with the main four-membered formation Der Šenster Gob. Urgob plays in the instrument cast of flute, accordion and double-bass mainly Jewish, but also Ukrainian and Caucasian songs, especially cheerful, dancing songs from weddings and similar occasions.
Urgob has played concerts as well as street performances in many states of Europe (CS, DE, FR, SWE, AT,…) and it absorbs musical inspiration from friends living all around the Globe. Come to taste this unrestrained mixture of inspirations!
